Brassica oleracea

A plant species (from the Cruciferae or Brassicaceae plant family, commonly known as the mustard family) that includes broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, kale and kohlrabi, amongst others. It was used to breed Brassica napus canola and is still investigated for potential sources of genetic diversity for canola.
