Farmers under stress for any reason – weather, financial, family – can reach out to stress lines. Being able to share what is putting the weight on your shoulders can be a helpful first step in figuring out how to lift those weights. These converations are completely anonymous.
As the Saskatchewan stress line site says, calling into these stress lines can help by:
–Clarifying the problem or concern and work with you toward a solution;
–Connecting you with the appropriate organization, professional or program that best suits your needs; and/or
–Listening and supporting in a safe, neutral and non-judgmental environment.
