Hellos and Good byes

Welcome back to Kristen Phillips, Canola Council of Canada agronomy specialist for Manitoba. She returns from maternity leave. Kristen’s email stays the same, phillipsk@canolacouncil.org, but she has a new cell number: 204-720-6923.

We have a new agronomist for southern Alberta. Autumn Holmes-Saltzman will join the CCC on February 18, coming to us from Ducks Unlimited. Autumn has a B.Sc. in Agriculture (Lethbridge) as well as an Agriculture Production and Management Diploma from Olds. Angela Brackenreed, who was covering for Kristen during her mat leave, has left the CCC. Angela will stay in Brandon, working with Dow Agrosciences.

We also say good-bye to 18-year CCC veteran Derwyn Hammond. Derwyn was offered a good opportunity to share his many agronomy talents with Pioneer Hi-Bred. He will stay in Brandon.
