QUIZ – drying canola

Three questions on safe drying temperatures, airflow requirement for in-bin drying, and how to improve airflow in large bins.

1. What is the maximum recommended drying temperature if canola is damp (over 12.5% moisture) and the dryer does not mix grain during the drying process?
2. To dry canola in a grain bin using natural air or heated air through aeration fans, what is the recommended minimum airflow in cubic feet per minute per bushel (cfm/bu)?
