QUIZ – Canola 4R Advantage

Canola 4R Advantage offers incentives to help growers initiate or advance 4R Nutrient Stewardship on canola acres. 4R practices can improve nitrogen use efficiency and return on investment from fertilizer, which also reduces nitrogen loss to groundwater and emissions to the air. That is why it is one of 12 programs funded through Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's On-Farm Climate Action Fund, designed to support farmers in adopting best management practices (BMPs) that store carbon and reduce greenhouse gases.

The Canola 4R Advantage goal is to help farmers access financial incentives to try new 4R practices to improve fertilizer efficiency, which is good for farm productivity and the environment.

1. To qualify for the program, farmers must have a verified 4R plan. Who provides the verification?
2. One of the four eligible best management practices is the use of enhanced efficiency fertilizers (EEF). What EEF was just added to the program?
3. What is the maximum amount per year a farm can receive from Canola 4R Advantage?
