Project Summary

Purpose

This study will identify and maps new sources of blackleg resistance.

Progress

Through screening Chinese B. napus lines, researchers discovered one line containing unknown R genes. The inheritance model analysis indicated that the resistance was controlled by a single gene. Research is identifying markers, which will be useful for marker-assisted selection as well as fine-mapping of this locus.
