July 30 — Battle River Research Plot Tour, Stettler

July 31 and August 1 — Canola “Galla” 2013 at Crop Diversification Centre South in Brooks, AB. The canola field day is about clubroot management, and much more, including sweep net skills and interpreting sweep net results, how to maximize the impact beneficial insects and pollinators, how to identify and manage other canola diseases, how to identify weeds and prevent herbicide resistant weeds from developing on your farm. The event will run from 9:30am to 1:30pm at the. An excursion to the clubroot nursery west of Brooks is available in the afternoon, for those interested. Note that it is the same event on both days, so plan to attend one day or the other, but not both. Lunch will be provided. July 25 – Crop Research Organization of Portage (CROP) Field Day at the Canada Manitoba Crop Diversification Centre at Portage la Prairie.
