Effective January 1, 2010, the carbon tax rates for gasoline and light fuel oil (diesel fuel,
locomotive fuel, heating oil, and industrial oil) are each reduced by 5% to reflect the
renewable fuel standard (RFS) under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Renewable and Low

British Columbia Announces New Renewable Fuels Regulations
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 12, 2008) - British Columbia's published new regulations requiring 5% renewable content in gasoline and diesel fuel supplied in the province by 2010.
