U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, says the U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded $1.6 million to the state to help development of biofuels as an energy alternative...The largest portion of the funds, $727,132.93, is going to Renewable Energy Group in Ralston to ensure an expanding production of advanced biofuels through the use of canola oil, soybean oil, other oils and animal fat.
