Pump it Up for Heart Health

The Canola Council of Canada has formed a partnership with the World Heart Federation (WHF) from March 2010 to March 2011 to promote heart-smart eating and World Heart Day (Sept. 26). The partnership will produce six heart-healthy recipes representing the U.S., Canada, Mexico, India, China and Japan; create a heart-smart eating brochure with the six recipes; and develop World Heart Day media campaign materials focused on global heart disease and heart-smart eating, including social media outreach. All materials will utilize the WHF logo and include multi-country distribution.

Vinaigrette Victory with Canola Oil

When it comes to making vinaigrette, the oil options are endless, but you may only need one, according to Salon.com. Canola oil’s neutral flavor helps magnify the taste of other ingredients, rather than masking them with a flavor of its own, such as olive oil.
